What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others help us improve your experience.

Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include authentication tokens (to keep you logged in) and your cookie consent preference. No personal data is shared with third parties through essential cookies.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. These cookies are only set if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level)
- Referring website or search terms
All IP addresses are anonymized. We do not use GA4 for advertising or cross-site tracking. Data is retained for 14 months in accordance with Google's default retention settings.
Google Consent Mode
We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means:
- GA4 scripts load on every page but do not set cookies or collect data until you consent
- If you reject cookies, GA4 sends only anonymized, cookieless pings (no personal data)
- If you accept cookies, GA4 operates normally with standard analytics cookies
- Advertising cookies (
ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) are always denied — we do not run ads
Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for buyroundup.com, which will cause the cookie banner to reappear on your next visit. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality (e.g., staying logged in).
Third-Party Cookies
When you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set its own cookies governed by its own privacy and cookie policies. BuyRoundup has no control over third-party cookies.
